Job Description

This Financial Support Analyst will provide support, including basic financial and resource analysis, to the Preventive & Restorative Dental Sciences (PRDS) Department at the Parnassus Campus.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide support, including basic financial and resource analysis
  • Work with purchasing systems and resolving issues for others who are procuring, ordering, or having payment inquiries
  • Review backup information for these actions and advise and interpret policy
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, including residents, faculty, and staff
  • Ensure the creation of purchase orders (POs), the preparation of correct journal entries, the maintenance of the master chart of accounts, and the creation of new speedtypes for payments
  • Assist the Department with SOD Budget planning, encompassing annual faculty renewal
  • Submit UCPath Funding Entry and Salary Cost Transfers changes for faculty, staff, and residents
  • Manage cash/ check deposits, parking codes, and assist with activities as requested to meet business needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting or equivalent experience/training
  • Basic knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems
  • Acquiring ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize and perform basic financial analysis assignments
  • Basic proficiency using spreadsheet and database software in financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports
  • Basic interpersonal skills
