Job Description

An Oracle GL Functional Consultant Lead is required at Senior Vice President level to be part of the Strategic Ledger program. The consultant will play a vital role in the implementation of the Oracle ERP General Ledger application for Citi ensuring an alignment of business needs with the product functionality. The consultant will have a deep understanding of Oracle Financial modules gained from previous implementations of Oracle ERP Cloud (General Leger and Accounting Hub or S/4 HANA or their on-premise equivalents, Oracle EBS or SAP R/3.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as subject matter expert on implementation of Oracle ERP General Ledger for all program releases
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices for financial processes and Oracle ERP General Ledger configurations
  • Perform fit/gap analysis and identify solutions for gaps and opportunities for optimizations
  • Collaborate with Finance SMEs on requirements gathering and translate into functional specifications and design documents
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define solutions for Citi specific customizations, extensions, and integrations
  • Oversee the configuration of Oracle ERP General Ledger application in line with agreed requirements and solution design
  • Provide support through testing, data conversion and cutover activities
  • Liaise with Oracle Support and product management team to resolve applications issues and champion Citi’s interests in the product roadmap
  • Manage cross functional interdependencies and ensure a holistic view of the overall Strategic Ledger solution

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with global corporations or in an associated consulting role
  • Proven track record of significant organizational transformations with on-premise Oracle EBS or SAP R/3, Oracle ERP including Accounting Hub or SAP S/4 HANA
  • Relevant knowledge and experience with financial reporting including legal entity reporting and group consolidation
  • In depth understanding of accounting concepts both US GAAP and IFRS, general ledger processes, Chart of Accounts design, and close, consolidation processes
  • Understanding of the regulatory and control requirements around Citi’s ledgers including ICOFR and SOX
  • Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented and organized
  • Pro-active problem-solver who works well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Strong written/verbal communications skills
  • must be concise, articulate, and persuasive with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions
  • Comfortable navigating complex, highly matrixed organizations
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels within the organization including senior management

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Oracle Finance cloud modules
  • Experience of operating in a disciplined program management environment
  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management or related field is required
