The Fin Solutions Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. In this role The Fin Solutions Lead Analyst will be leading the development of data distribution products, specifically from the financial ledger to various consumers for regulatory, financial, liquidity, and operational reporting. The ideal candidate will possess good understanding of financial data systems and regulatory environments, combined with strong product leadership and technical acumen. The ideal candidate will use communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide, influence and convince stakeholders which include consumers, cross functional team members, technology SME's and make a significant impact on the successful outcome through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.
Job Responsibility:
Drives product/integration alignment with organizational goals for regulatory reporting, liquidity management, data aggregation, consolidation, and operational reporting.
Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions
Translate complex business requirements related to financial ledger data into a clear and actionable product roadmap.
Champion customer needs and pain points related to financial data consumption, ensuring they are integrated into product development and prioritization.
Develop and manage the product lifecycle for data products originating from the financial ledger, including ledger balances and journals.
Participates in standardization and streamlining of process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
Ensure data distribution capabilities meet stringent requirements for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for regulatory and financial reporting.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (finance, regulatory, risk), technology teams (data engineering, IT), and external partners.
Communicate effectively across all levels regarding product updates, timelines, and strategic direction, particularly concerning critical financial data flows.
Leverage AI to expedite impact assessment, requirements draft, problem statement, deck preparations
Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes
Leverage expertise in data flow technologies (e.g., APIs, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes) to optimize the delivery of financial data.
Creates data flows, architecture diagrams and other visualizations to support any communication
Explore and integrate advanced data delivery solutions (e.g., real-time streaming, cloud-based data platforms) for scalable financial data distribution.
Performs other duties and functions as assigned in line with Program goals and Stakeholder alignment such as preparing leadership presentations, maintaining action logs (which includes JIRA), draft communications geared toward large consumer audiences
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Requirements:
6-10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior executives and cross-functional teams. Clear and confident communication style to convey problem statements, proposed solutions, proposed process improvements.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Advanced powerpoint skills with ability to draft Leadership communication decks (what, why, why now, how)
Good working knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting systems, processes, and data requirements, with specific experience in financial books and records, ledger balances, ledger processes, accounting rules, and journal entries.
Expertise in designing and implementing robust data distribution architectures, including APIs, data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and real-time streaming solutions.
Experience with implementing and managing data lineage, data quality frameworks, and exception resolution processes for financial data.
Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Collibra) and agile development methodologies.
Proficiency in project management principles and tools which includes managing timeline, deliverables, risks and issues
Good understanding of liquidity management, data aggregation, pre and post-consolidation reporting, and operational reporting needs within a financial institution.
Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
In depth knowledge of banking products / systems preferred.
