A full-service, nationally renowned White Plains law firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Services Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of commercial litigation experience and will manage a diverse docket of cases, representing banks, lenders, financial institutions, and corporate clients in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations and regulatory matters.
Job Responsibility
Manage all phases of financial services and commercial litigation, from initial pleadings through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals
Handle contested mortgage foreclosures, lender liability claims, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, and creditors' rights issues
Draft and argue complex dispositive and discovery motions, briefs, and settlement agreements
Take and defend depositions, conduct mediations, and manage court appearances independently
Conduct legal research and advise financial institution clients on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
Requirements
Admission to NYS Bar is required
additional admissions a plus
2+ years of commercial litigation experience (will also consider candidates with insurance defense and product liability experience)
Financial services experience is preferred
Deposition and oral argument experience
Excellent academic credentials
