Job Description

Our Financial Services Business Risk Services practice focuses on helping organisation manage risk, improve operational processes and realise strategic objectives. Our team brings together a range of skills and experience across sector specialisms. Our Financial Services Business Risk Services (FS BRS) team, provide clients with support on their internal audit functions, through the provision of tailored, flexible and cost-effective solutions, that provide access to industry best practice methodology, value add insights and subject matter experts.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership and lead on allocated assignments
  • Drive business development initiatives
  • Manage a portfolio of existing client relationships and build and maintain good working relationships with all clients and colleagues
  • Agree budgets for review with Partner and/or client
  • Monitor invoices raised and cash collected in a timely manner to ensure aged debtors don’t escalate
  • Lead client liaison meetings and attend audit committee meetings

Requirements

  • Professional qualification (CIPFA, CISA, CISM, CISP, or similar) with post qualification experience within the insurance or pensions market
  • Confident managing a large portfolio of internal audit engagement
  • Proven track record of driving business development initiatives
  • Professional practice experience
  • Track record of leading client engagements and ensuring their effective completion/quality
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and supporting business development/winning of new work
  • Oversight of team members and personal development of direct reports

  • Reconcile product-related financial flows (Welfare, Connect, etc.) against G/L postings, investigate deltas, and manage intercompany transactions
  • Post treasury-related journal entries in SAP and systematically resolve discrepancies
  • Own the treasury contribution to the monthly and annual closing process, providing clean, signed-off balances within agreed deadlines
  • Ensure product flow G/L balances are fully reconciled for financial statement purposes, produce reconciliation status reports, and support internal/external audit processes
  • Document existing manual reconciliation processes end-to-end to create a clear baseline
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through ERP configuration and improved system interfaces
  • Contribute to building a structured controls framework and design reconciliation processes for new products from the outset
