Financial Services Accounting Officer

• Processing Warrigal’s funding billing reconciliation for residential aged care homes
• Reviewing and identifying discrepancies of funding amounts
• Adjusting records and following up with families
• Collaborating with external agencies to ensure financial sustainability and compliance
• Preparing correspondence
• Maintaining accurate records in systems
• Using financial data to support informed decision-making

• Detail-oriented and proactive
• Strong background in funding and contracts
• Proven experience in managing accounts, billing reconciliations, maintaining files to meet audit and regulatory requirements, and applying best-practice strategies
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in aged care, not-for-profit, or similarly values-driven sectors is highly regarded
• Understanding of the Aged Care Acts, the Residential Aged Care Assessment process and funding applicable to the aged care industry
• Strong working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems and high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including professional telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as a supportive and effective team member
• Strong capability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
