Financial Reporting Manager required for a fast growth Technology company based in Slough! As the Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the Group's external and technical reporting capability within a fast-paced, acquisitive environment. You'll take ownership of key group reporting deliverables, bringing clarity, rigour, and pace to the statutory reporting cycle and supporting a high-quality close. This role is suited to a technically strong, proactive finance professional who can take ownership of the group reporting, working confidently with stakeholders across multiple entities, driving issues through to resolution, and ensuring deadlines are met without compromise. You'll be a calm, dependable pair of hands in a high-performing team.
Job Responsibility:
Own the end-to-end group financial reporting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, half-year, and year-end group reporting deliverables across a multi-entity, acquisitive business
Lead the statutory reporting process and coordinate audit delivery, ensuring a high standard of audit evidence, clear documentation, and on-time completion
Drive the group consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliation, eliminations, and consistency of reporting across entities, working closely with local finance teams
Maintain and enhance technical accounting under IFRS, producing high-quality papers and guidance for complex areas, with exposure to US GAAP a plus
Partner closely with the Senior Director Financial Controller and VP of Finance as a trusted right-hand, providing clear, concise insight and ensuring "brilliant basics" are consistently delivered
Support acquisition accounting and integration from a reporting perspective, helping bring newly acquired businesses into the group reporting model and timetable
Improve reporting processes, controls, and timelines through standardisation and automation, leveraging tools such as Excel and Power BI where appropriate
Manage and develop a small team
Requirements:
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong post-qualification experience in group financial reporting within a large corporate or complex, multi-entity environment
Big Four background strongly preferred
At least a couple of roles post-qualification in industry (not a first move straight out of practice)
Proven, hands-on experience owning group reporting deliverables end-to-end, including group consolidation, technical accounting papers, and month-end/quarter-end/year-end reporting cycles
M&A exposure (acquisitions and integration from a reporting and consolidation perspective) is highly desirable
Private equity experience is a plus but not essential
Strong IFRS capability is essential
Exposure to US GAAP is desirable given international growth
Experience managing and developing small teams and driving high standards of output
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)
Credible stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to face off with senior finance leaders and work effectively across multiple entities and teams
Nice to have:
M&A exposure (acquisitions and integration from a reporting and consolidation perspective) is highly desirable
Private equity experience is a plus but not essential
Exposure to US GAAP is desirable given international growth
