Our client based in Gateshead is recruiting a Financial Reporting & Governance Manager. The role will suit candidates from an audit/accounts or Corporate Tax background. Based on site, this role is an outstanding opportunity for a candidate making their first step into industry. Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for external and internal reporting for the business including monthly/annual reports to Group and external reporting requirements including Corporation Tax and VAT. There is ample opportunity for personal and career development in the role, and applicants should not be viewing the position as the zenith of their ambitions.

Job Responsibility

  • External and internal reporting for the business including monthly/annual reports to Group and external reporting requirements including Corporation Tax and VAT
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting submissions including business KPIs
  • Group IFRS reporting
  • Leading on technical subject matter for the wider finance team including accounting standards and policies
  • Preparation of quarterly corporation tax estimates and annual submissions
  • Statutory reporting
  • Maintenance of the Tax risk register, R&D credit applications and capital allowance claims
  • Assisting with the budget preparations, in particular group reporting requirements
  • Corporate and social responsibility reporting
  • Assisting the wider finance team in key Projects delivery
