Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, you will lead a UK-based team of four accountants and play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of the MP Group’s financial reporting. This role is central to delivering transparent, high-quality financial information to stakeholders and ensuring adherence to regulatory and group reporting standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and develop a UK-based team of four
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly reporting to MP Management and KKR stakeholders
  • Oversee half-year and annual statutory reporting
  • Review and analyse consolidated management accounts for ~60 legal entities
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and group reporting
  • Safeguard the integrity of core financial areas, including revenue recognition, consolidated order book reporting, fixed assets, and IFRS 16 lease accounting
  • Own complex global costing and inventory reporting
  • Maintain and improve finance master data and reporting structures within the ERP and consolidation tools
  • Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement and collaboration

Requirements

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ experience in senior financial reporting and consolidation roles
  • Proven people leader with experience building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong technical accounting expertise, including solid hands-on experience with IFRS, statutory reporting, and consolidation
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with exceptional Excel skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Confident and persuasive communicator
  • Systems-savvy finance professional, comfortable working with modern accounting and reporting tools
  • Experience in a global, matrix organisation, with an understanding of end-to-end finance process flows

Nice to have

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and consolidation tools such as SAP Analytics is a strong advantage
  • Experience ideally within a manufacturing or operationally complex environment
