Job Description:

We're looking for a skilled Financial Analyst reporting to join a global financial services leader in downtown Montreal. This role is crucial for supporting the preparation of proforma financials. producing profitability reporting by products and expense type. and must be familiar with month-end close and GL process.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and analyze pro forma financials for the BNA future state, ensuring alignment with key reporting metrics such as product profitability, expenses, and affiliate governance
  • Identify and resolve reporting discrepancies, working to ensure consistent and accurate financial data across all entities
  • Address standalone reporting requirements and verify data sources
  • Assist with general ledger and month-end close processes as needed
  • Support the development of new automation and technology initiatives, specifically within SAP and Alteryx

Requirements:

  • Direct experience in financial reporting, external reporting, or a related field within the financial services industry
  • Experience with an external accounting or audit firm
  • Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of financial statements and GAAP
  • Familiarity with SAP, Alteryx, or similar systems
  • A proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or ACCA or equivalent
