The Financial Planning Specialist will deliver comprehensive financial planning to clients. This may be a stand-alone engagement or integrated into an existing advisor relationship. This role is ideal for someone pursuing a career as a financial planner, who is detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to helping clients achieve their financial goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Meet with clients to learn about their unique situation
  • develop and deliver personalized financial plans for clients, including retirement, estate, insurance, education, and investment planning.
  • Analyze clients’ financial information, including cash flow, tax returns, insurance policies, investment portfolios, and other financial documents.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Advisors, Client Services, Operations and other appropriate partners to provide exemplary client experience and plan implementation.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and planning documents during online and in-person client meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records across multiple systems, including but not limited to financial planning software, client portal, portfolio management system, and internal CRM.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support business development efforts, including rapid response to referrals, prospect proposals, and marketing support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred
  • CFP® certification strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, wealth management, or related financial services segment
  • preferably in a client-facing role
  • Experience with the needs to mass affluent and high-net worth families
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and explain financial concepts clearly
  • Strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and acting in their best interests.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • experience with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney) is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
