We are looking for a skilled Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our team in Emeryville, California. This role is ideal for someone passionate about driving financial strategies and delivering impactful insights. You will play a key role in shaping corporate decision-making through detailed analysis and forecasting.
Job Responsibility:
Improve and maintain driver‑based financial and capital models, integrating them into daily operations and partnering with key business teams
Lead monthly reporting by collecting data, validating assumptions, and aligning benchmarks with stakeholders
Analyze and present financial results, including preparing materials for leadership and board reviews
Produce ongoing financial reports using advanced modeling and strong analytical methods
Provide insights on revenue drivers, competition, and market trends to guide strategy
Track KPI trends, benchmark performance, and identify risks and opportunities
Run sensitivity analyses focused on capital adequacy and stress‑testing scenarios
Communicate forecasts and assumptions clearly across business units to ensure alignment
Maintain transparent access to plan‑vs‑actual and forecast‑vs‑actual results
Build strong partnerships across the organization and act as a trusted advisor
Support expense management and contribute to improving financial processes
Promote best practices in planning and enhance analytical discipline
Coach and develop team members
Handle additional ad hoc tasks as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of finance experience, preferably leading FP&A
people management experience a plus
Strong accounting/finance background with ability to interpret financial statements
CPA, CFA, or master’s preferred
Advanced Excel (including add-ins) and PowerPoint skills
SQL, Python, and financial planning systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning, NetSuite) a plus
Skilled in gathering and analyzing complex data, delivering clear insights and executive-level presentations
Experience as a Finance business partner supporting data-driven decision-making
Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player with strong business judgment
Able to manage processes, implement controls, drive improvements, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
SQL, Python, and financial planning systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning, NetSuite) a plus
people management experience a plus
CPA, CFA, or master’s preferred
