Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst 2 to provide financial and accounting support within a manufacturing environment. This role will partner with finance and operations teams to drive financial performance, support strategic decision-making, manage cost analysis, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial accuracy
  • Conduct detailed manufacturing cost analysis, including standard costing and variance analysis
  • Review and analyze order variances and identify key cost drivers
  • Attend and contribute to cost savings initiatives and operational review meetings
  • Prepare recurring financial reports and summarize performance results
  • Monitor weekly and monthly financial performance against forecasts and budgets
  • Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
  • Perform fixed asset accounting activities and related analysis
  • Conduct inventory analysis and spending reviews to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop business cases to support operational and financial decisions
  • Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and KPI management
  • Ensure financial records comply with accounting standards and internal policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles and financial controls
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • ERP experience required
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience with manufacturing operations, product costing, and inventory control preferred
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Experience supporting month-end close activities
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
