We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst 2 to provide financial and accounting support within a manufacturing environment. This role will partner with finance and operations teams to drive financial performance, support strategic decision-making, manage cost analysis, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Job Responsibility
Lead month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
Prepare and post month-end journal entries
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial accuracy
Conduct detailed manufacturing cost analysis, including standard costing and variance analysis
Review and analyze order variances and identify key cost drivers
Attend and contribute to cost savings initiatives and operational review meetings
Prepare recurring financial reports and summarize performance results
Monitor weekly and monthly financial performance against forecasts and budgets
Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
Perform fixed asset accounting activities and related analysis
Conduct inventory analysis and spending reviews to identify improvement opportunities
Develop business cases to support operational and financial decisions
Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and KPI management
Ensure financial records comply with accounting standards and internal policies
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles and financial controls
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
ERP experience required
SAP experience preferred
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
2–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required
Experience with manufacturing operations, product costing, and inventory control preferred
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Experience supporting month-end close activities
Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
