Job Description:

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial principles.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as well as month end activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret financial data
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Stay updated on changes in IFRS and other relevant financial regulations

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Bilingual for discussions with other provinces/countries
3+ years of experience in financial analysis or accounting or Big 4 profile
Proficient in Excel (power BI a plus)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have:

CPA designation is a plus
Experience with public accounting
