We’re seeking an accounting professional who wants to move beyond traditional bookkeeping and become a key player in scaling finance at the forefront of AI in healthcare. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting, ideally from a Big 4 firm, who’s ready to own day-to-day operations while gaining hands-on experience with financial systems, automation, and strategic projects. You’ll take charge of core accounting processes — from payables and receivables to reconciliations and close — while also supporting audits, reporting, and process improvements. Reporting directly to the Controller, you’ll have a front-row seat to how finance operations evolve in a high-growth environment. Within your first 90 days, you’ll own the monthly close and contribute to streamlining workflows that make our financial processes faster and more accurate.
Job Responsibility:
Run the Daily Accounting Engine: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, cash applications, and reconciliations
Execute the Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
Support Revenue and Billing: Own customer invoicing, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and monitor collections
Be Audit-Ready: Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and contributing to technical accounting memos
Maintain Reporting Discipline: Keep subledgers, schedules, and reconciliations current
Document and Strengthen Processes: Build and refine accounting policies, workflows, and checklists
Learn and Apply Automation: Partner with the Controller to explore automation and systems improvements
Grow into Strategic Projects: Gain exposure to areas like system implementations, stock-based comp, and cross-functional reporting initiatives
Requirements:
1–3 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent)
Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting
CPA license or active pursuit of certification
Experience preparing audit support (PBCs, schedules, memos)
Familiarity with internal controls
Familiarity with tools like NetSuite, Salesforce, Ramp, or similar ERP/expense management systems
Interest in learning payroll platforms (e.g., Rippling)
Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets
Proficiency in data-driven tools such as Alteryx, Python, SQL, and REST APIs
Relentless attention to detail
Ability to anticipate needs and execute tasks autonomously
Outstanding ability to manage multiple priorities
Collaborative and approachable demeanor
