We have an exciting opportunity within our Financial Operations Service for a self-motivated Financial Operations Assistant providing essential support to the Trust. This role will be based at One Avenue Road, Aston, Birmingham, to work in the office a minimum of 2 days per week, however we do work to hybrid model of working, as part of a flexible team you may be asked to cover at our other location Lifford House, Stirchely, Birmingham. The Financial Operations Team process a range of financial transactions, supporting services across Birmingham Children’s Trust.
Job Responsibility:
Process a range of financial transactions
Support services across Birmingham Children’s Trust
Process petty cash payments
Order goods and services via a variety of methods
Make payments to carers and individuals
Deal with general/complex administrative tasks and queries via phone/email/face to face
Work flexibly within a diverse team, providing support and cover when required
Play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the service
Manage multiple and changing priorities to meet deadlines and business goals
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work accurately and effectively (including good literacy and numeracy skills)
Proactive, self-motivated approach
Ability to use own initiative to support and achieve business objectives
Flexibility and ability to multitask
Proven experience of working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Must reside within a suitable commutable distance around Birmingham
Must have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK
