Job Description:

Financial Officers support the development and execution of financial objectives related to revenues, expenses, capital, and risk for their respective areas. This includes partnering across other functions and Finance disciplines. Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams are Finance partners to the functions and businesses they support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Advising and partnering with key function / business stakeholders, leads and business execution leads, for financial business decisions and plans
  • Developing and maintaining an understanding of the Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams, their core mandate and strategic objectives
  • Providing insightful analysis that contributes to performance based outcomes
  • Supporting execution of the team's strategic direction
  • Maintaining strong partnerships with Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams heads and other functional partners to support and inform financial business decisions and plans
  • Partnering with other Finance stakeholders to assist business / function in meeting their financial objectives
  • Partnering with Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams leads and COO teams to assess potential corrective actions for variances to financial plans through detailed analysis to determine best course of action
  • Partnering with COO teams on a variety of activities including expense optimization opportunities and initiatives
  • Providing financial reports and analytics to Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams leads, including key financial metrics, results, trends and analysis
  • Assisting in preparation of Quarterly Business Review materials with Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams COO teams and other functional partners
  • Assisting the business / function in their efforts to establish and deliver financial objectives related to revenues, expenses, return on investment and capital
  • Supporting short and long term budgeting, forecasting and planning processes through engagement with functional partners such as FP&A
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Knowledge of and / or experience working with the Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams
  • Financial management experience, including financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analytics and analysis
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and proven ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
