Job Description

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Officer / Administrator to join a warm and well-resourced SEND Primary School on a temporary full-time basis. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with school finance experience, ideally familiar with FMS and SIMS, to support the school’s business operations team. This is a term-time only position, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy school environment and enjoys providing vital support behind the scenes.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing day-to-day financial administration including orders, invoices, and budget tracking
  • Supporting with financial data entry and reporting via FMS
  • Maintaining accurate pupil and school records using SIMS
  • Assisting with registers, attendance updates, and pupil data management
  • Providing general administrative assistance to ensure smooth operation of the school office

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a school administrative or finance role
  • Strong knowledge of FMS and SIMS systems (essential/preferable)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to support across different office functions
