Job Responsibility:
Provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence the organisation is operating in compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities
Requirements:
Identification and assessment of compliance risks through reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems
Identification and investigation of potential market abuse (Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation, Anti-Competitive Conduct)
Conduct investigation of compliance risk events or breaches
Oversight and check and challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures
Implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements
Collaboration with 1LOD, other Compliance teams, legal, and relevant risk management functions
Identification, investigation and oversight of potential money laundering, terrorist financing or other financial crime
To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change
Plan resources, budgets, and policies
manage and maintain policies/processes
deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches
If managing a team: define jobs and responsibilities, plan for department’s future needs, counsel employees on performance, contribute to employee pay decisions, lead specialists
If an individual contributor: be a subject matter expert, guide technical direction, lead collaborative assignments, guide team members, train/guide/coach less experienced specialists
Advise key stakeholders and senior management
Manage and mitigate risks through assessment
Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk
