Job Description:

We are seeking a senior Financial Crime SME to lead the transformation of the Trade & Working Capital (TWC) financial crime framework. In this role, you will redesign our approach to Trade‑Based Money Laundering (TBML), leveraging data, AI and emerging technologies to modernise controls, enhance client experience, and improve efficiency across the TWC business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the evolution of TWC’s TBML and wider financial crime framework
  • Develop an AI‑enabled, risk‑based transaction monitoring approach for Trade Finance
  • Drive automation of manual checks through OCR, machine learning and intelligent workflow tools
  • Partner closely with Compliance, Operations, Technology and industry bodies to ensure best‑in‑class standards
  • Embed strong governance, reporting and escalation mechanisms across TWC
  • Deliver change as part of the broader TWC strategic transformation agenda
  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues
  • Identification of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks
  • Response to customer inquiries, resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in AML, TBML, Sanctions or broader Financial Crime
  • Strong understanding of Trade Finance products and associated risks
  • Experience delivering transformation across complex, regulated environments
  • Ability to shape strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and lead multi‑disciplinary initiatives
  • Passion for innovation, client experience and building best‑in‑class controls
