Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Controls Associate to consult with business lines on financial reporting and IT governance, identify compliance requirements, implement company policies, and support project implementation.

Job Responsibility:

Consult with line of business and enterprise functions on financial reporting or IT governance
Identify compliance and risk management requirements
Communicate and provide consultation regularly with stakeholders
Implement, operate, and report results of company's policy, governance and oversight framework
Support implementation of simple to moderate projects and initiatives
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues

Requirements:

2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Reporting or Business and Technology Audit experience
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Intermediate Microsoft Visio skills
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and achieve goals and work under pressure
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
Minimum one year in audit and/or SoX advisory/consulting service
Any bachelor's degree or M.COM or A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Designation
Practical experience with continuous process improvement/re-engineering of processes and results
Strong critical thinking skills with ability to credibly challenge status quo
Strong relationship management skills
ability to negotiate difficult positions without harming relationships
Experience driving change in peer-size organizations
champion of change

Nice to have:

Monitoring new and emerging internal control related guidance and issues
Providing process and control support for projects and interfacing with external auditors
Validating and challenging documentation of application control deficiencies
Validating corrective actions and building relationships with stakeholders
Assisting with projects impacting the team
