Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Controls Associate to join the Enterprise Controls and Oversight team, focusing on SOX 404 testing and control reviews. The role involves evaluating internal controls over financial reporting, identifying control gaps, and supporting remediation efforts in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support for financial reporting information technology governance and controls oversight
Execute SOX 404 testing procedures including walkthroughs and control testing
Review and assess design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
Document test results and communicate findings to stakeholders
Collaborate with process owners to remediate control deficiencies
Support internal and external audit engagements
Contribute to development and enhancement of control frameworks
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with audit standards
Assist in control self-assessments and risk identification exercises
Participate in process improvement initiatives
Provide support during regulatory reviews and compliance assessments

Requirements:

6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Reporting or Business and Technology Audit experience
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) required
Professional certifications preferred: CA Inter, CA, CISA, CIA, or MBA in Finance
1-4 years of relevant experience
Prior experience in Big 4 audit firms or mid-sized accounting firms preferred
Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX 404 compliance, and risk assessment
Familiarity with COSO framework, RCSA, and audit methodologies
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx (preferred)

Nice to have:

Experience in enterprise control environments or audit functions within financial services
Exposure to control testing in a banking environment
Working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx
