As experienced Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring UGG is fully in control of its financials. You will work closely with the finance team to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting, with a strong focus on the balance sheet, P&L, and cashflow. You will drive process improvements and system efficiency, ensuring robust controls and up-to-date specifications for both P&L and balance sheet on a monthly basis.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to internal stakeholders, the board, and shareholders
Take ownership of the monthly closing process, with a particular focus on balance sheet, P&L, and cashflow control
Perform monthly checks and ensure all specifications for P&L and balance sheet are updated and documented
Work closely with other financial controllers to ensure full control over revenue and costs
Critically review and improve financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and automation
Pro-active end to end process optimization
Coordinate external audits
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as needed
Requirements:
Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
10+ years of progressive experience as a financial controller
Excellent knowledge of (Dutch) accounting standards
Experience with process optimization and finance system improvements
Analytical with a strong sense of ownership
A proactive and hands-on approach is essential
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Eager to coach other finance professionals
Fluent in English
Eligible to work in the Netherlands
Nice to have:
Experience in a scale-up, buy-and-build organisation, multi-entity structure, and international environment is a plus
Dutch is a plus
Experience with Netsuite and Lucanet is a plus
