Our client is an ambitious organisation dedicated to revolutionising the treatment of eating disorders in the UK and beyond. They are on the lookout for a dynamic Financial Controller to join their vibrant team and play a crucial role in their mission of providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the daily operations of the finance department
Prepare accurate financial statements, including monthly management accounts and balance sheets
Produce weekly and monthly financial management information and KPI reports
Monitor budgets to ensure cost efficiency without compromising care quality
Develop strategies for improving financial performance and identifying cost savings
Manage accounts payable, purchase orders, and payment runs
Ensure prompt invoicing and management of debtor days
Oversee payroll processes and expense management
Maintain compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
Provide accurate cash flow forecasts
Mentor and support the finance team to encourage growth and excellence
Engage with stakeholders to communicate financial strategies and performance
Manage year-end processes and liaise with external auditors for seamless audits
Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within health or social care
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards
Relevant qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or related fields (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Proficiency in financial software (Xero, Pleo) and MS Office
