The Financial Controller leads a small but efficient accounting team, collaborates closely with all business divisions, and plays a pivotal role in financial strategy development, cashflow management, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
CPA or CA certification preferred but not essential
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management roles, ideally within the freight, logistics, transport or similar industries
Strong leadership, mentoring and team management capabilities
Excellent budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills
Highly developed commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities
Advanced proficiency in financial systems, eg/ Microsoft Excel and ideally Translogix or similar, and business intelligence tools
Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, taxation and regulatory frameworks
Highly effective communication skills with the ability to engage and influcence stakeholders at all levels
Nice to have:
CPA or CA certification
Experience within the freight, logistics, transport or similar industries
