We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead and oversee the finance operations of our organization in Livermore, California. This position requires a strategic leader who can ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and drive budgeting and forecasting initiatives. You will play a vital role in supporting executive decision-making while managing a team of dedicated finance professionals and collaborating across multiple departments.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with operations, sales, and service teams to align financial strategies with organizational objectives
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to guide capital investments and major purchasing decisions
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of communication and transparency
Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with established standards
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support current and future business needs
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations
Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and revenue recognition processes for various divisions
Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts, providing variance analysis to support decisions
Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard financial integrity
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance financial systems and operational efficiency
Requirements:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in financial management and accounting roles
Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Proven experience in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and revenue recognition
Leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
Ability to manage and oversee document control and compliance processes
Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with a focus on automation and optimization
Experience in handling audits, regulatory compliance, and sales tax reporting
Excellent analytical and communication skills to effectively present financial insights to leadership teams
