The business has grown year on year across both headcount and revenue, to become a household name with a strong following and committed repeat customers. Following consistent growth and international expansion, the business is now looking for a Financial Controller to lead the UK finance function and act as a key partner to senior leadership. The Role This is a senior position with full responsibility for the UK finance team, overseeing multiple business units and working closely with group-level finance leadership. Managing a team of 3, you will take ownership of reporting, forecasting, controls and systems, while also contributing to broader strategy, process improvements and cross-functional projects. You will work across a variety of business models with international stakeholders and support the implementation of best practices in line with group objectives. Job Responsibility:
Lead, develop and manage the UK finance team (3 people), covering AP, AR, billing, reporting and internal controls
Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, P&L review, cash flow forecasting and reconciliations
Prepare and present budget forecasts, management accounts and variance analysis to senior stakeholders
Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations
Act as a key liaison for audit, tax and external advisory relationships
Work closely with global finance colleagues to align processes, reporting and controls with wider group standards
Support system improvements and help manage ERP and workflow platform integrations (for example SAP or similar)
Collaborate with external finance providers where functions are partially outsourced (such as transaction processing or reconciliations)
Provide commercial and operational support to other internal teams, including legal, people and project leads
Assist with ad hoc projects, including international reporting, due diligence and strategic planning
Requirements:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, controls and compliance in a UK context
Nice to have:
Exposure to international operations and reporting structures
Familiarity with internal control frameworks (such as SOX or similar)
