GSK is seeking a highly qualified Financial Controller to join our Finance Team within the Close & Control Hub in Poznan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of reporting across GSK while gaining exposure to a dynamic, global biopharma environment, including leading a team and working closely with the business and other senior finance stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the key support to the Market Finance Director by ensuring accurate management and statutory reporting compliant with IFRS and SOX
Lead and develop a team of 1 Controlling Specialist, providing direction, coaching and performance management to ensure accurate, compliant reporting
Business partner with the Finance Director to provide financial insight on performance, support the right investment decisions, and ensure clear understanding of market performance
Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting processes by leveraging the latest digital tools, such as AI, Power BI, and other advanced analytics solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy and insights
Oversee the period-end close process, including preparation of reports, analytical reviews, and ensuring timely and accurate statutory signoffs to the local Finance Director
Responsible for reporting of P&L, balance sheet and working capital, including variance analysis of operating expenses, margins and profitability, and providing financial insights and recommendations in business review meetings
Ensure the timely and effective performance of internal controls and support both internal and external audits
Requirements:
Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional experience
5 years’ experience in accounting, audit, or financial controlling
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles
Professional fluency in English (written and spoken)
