About the Company Our client is a large, established New Zealand infrastructure services business with a strong balance sheet and an active growth agenda, including a significant acquisition pipeline. The Role The Financial Controller is a high-impact role that will lead financial control, treasury and tax across a multi-entity group. The role carries real scope to enhance team output while owning the group’s core financial control environment, including a strong element of support for ongoing and future acquisitions.
Job Responsibility
Lead financial control, treasury and tax across the group
Provide advice and guidance on accounting, treasury and taxation matters
Support M&A activity including tax, treasury and post-acquisition integration
Deliver insightful historic and forward-looking reporting, working closely with FP&A
Meet all external, statutory, and lender reporting requirements
Monitor group cashflow, working capital, senior debt and hedging execution
Manage, mentor and develop the wider finance team
Drive system (D365) and process improvement
Requirements
CA/CPA qualified with a strong technical financial control background
Proven people leadership with high EQ
Strong communicator, confident partnering with FP&A and senior stakeholders
Sound working capital and treasury knowledge
Acquisition accounting and tax exposure highly regarded
Experience in a complex, multi-entity B2B environment preferred
ERP systems experience (D365 or similar) advantageous
