The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial reporting, control environment, and compliance framework, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and scalability across the business. The role plays a central part in group and statutory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, audit coordination, and continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls. This position acts as a key finance partner to senior management and stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making through high-quality financial insights, while ensuring full compliance with IFRS and applicable EU regulatory and tax requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the preparation of individual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
Serve as the primary point of contact for group audits, coordinating with external auditors and addressing audit queries
Ensure compliance with EU tax legislation, statutory requirements, and internal reporting standards
Prepare and oversee annual budgets, business plans, and rolling forecasts
Deliver ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making
Perform cost-cutting and efficiency analyses, identifying savings opportunities and margin improvements
Monitor financial performance versus budget and provide clear variance analysis and insights
Review, create, and continuously improve internal accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Optimize month-end and year-end closing procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
Ensure accurate intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations across the group
Support the scaling and standardization of finance processes in line with business growth
Build effective working relationships with managers across the organization, acting as a trusted financial partner
Coordinate with external accounting firms, tax advisors, and auditors
Provide senior management with clear financial reporting, insights, and recommendations
Requirements:
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience within accounting or financial control
Strong background in corporate finance and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with group reporting and consolidations
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and EU tax legislation
Proven experience in financial modeling and forecasting
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
Experience working with ERP and accounting systems
ACCA, CIMA will be considered as an advantage
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
Confident communicator with a collaborative, business-oriented approach
Self-driven and comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced environments
A strong sense of responsibility and a can-do attitude
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
