Campbell Property Group (CPG), one of Australia's leading residential construction and property development companies, is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at our Norwest Head Office. A newly created opportunity, the Financial Controller will be responsible for the organisation's financial integrity, compliance and operational rigour, while partnering with executives to support strategic decision-making. You will also be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, controlling financial risks, and providing reliable financial information. Safeguarding the company's financial health while enabling informed business decisions.
Job Responsibility:
Own the accuracy and timeliness of all statutory and management reporting
Review monthly, half-yearly and year-end financial statements
Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS
Oversee statutory reporting obligations including ASIC, ATO and APRA
Coordinate external audit and tax and act as the main point of contact for auditors / tax advisors
Design, implement and monitor internal financial controls
Maintain and enforce group accounting policies
Ensure compliance with taxation requirements including GST, PAYG, Payroll tax and Income tax provisions
Identify and mitigate financial risk across the business
Support board and audit risk committee reporting
Ensure efficient & accurate month-end close timetable, balance sheet integrity and reconciliations, cost centre analysis, journal review, accruals, provision and estimates, multi-entity consolidations, data accuracy across ERP/finance systems
Lead, coach and develop the finance team
Set performance expectations and uplift capability
Drive a high-performance and accountable culture
Requirements:
Extensive experience in a senior financial accounting role, ideally gained within a property organisation OR a senior first mover from audit or tax
Demonstrated experience in a compliance focussed environment
Hands on experience with consolidations, trusts and corporate structuring
CA or CPA qualified
Experience advising at executive and board-level
Strong corporate governance, compliance, consolidation and trust accounting experience
Financial reporting within a large complex multi-site, multi-entity organisation
In depth knowledge of statutory, tax and regulatory obligations
Ethical and trustworthy, with high professional integrity
Strategic yet hands-on, willing to lead and support at all levels
Confident decision-maker, even under pressure
Personable, collaborative, and clear communicator
Detail-focused and organised, with excellent judgment and foresight
