Lead month-end and quarterly valuation processes, ensuring reconciliations are completed, reviewed in line with Internal Financial Control (IFC) guidelines, and issues are clearly communicated
Oversee daily financial activities including payments, premium collections and Bank of Ireland Life (BOL) processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Partner with Financial Reporting and Actuarial teams to plan and deliver quarterly valuations, resolving queries from stakeholders and external auditors
Identify and address financial or system issues, working with Business Operations to improve processes and strengthen the control environment
Support and develop a team, fostering a positive culture focused on collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivery of team objectives
Requirements
Qualified Accountant
Knowledge of life assurance products, processes, and regulatory requirements
Experience working in a fast-paced financial control environment
Strong understanding of accounting systems and processes, with proven analytical skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability and high standards
