We’re currently looking for a Financial Control Lead for our office in Stockholm. In this role you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Financial Control team across the Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Baltics).

Job Responsibility

  • lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Financial Control team across the Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Baltics)
  • ensure integrity, accuracy, and compliance of accounting records in line with local GAAP standards and IFRS
  • deliver timely and high-quality monthly and annual financial reporting
  • review and validate accounting activities, strengthening internal controls and risk mitigation
  • act as the key point of contact for accounting-related matters for the region in charge
  • collaborate closely with Controlling, Tax, VAT, Finance CoE and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure end-to-end financial excellence
  • participate in improvement of accounting processes, systems and ERP optimization
  • contribute accounting expertise to M&A projects and integration activities
  • support and develop team members, fostering high-performance and knowledge sharing
  • provide clear explanations for material deviations and actively support leadership decision-making
  • prepare and ensure timely submission of annual reports and statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP standards and take an active role or lead the audit where applicable

Requirements

  • university degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • extensive experience in financial accounting or financial control, ideally gained in FMCG or other fast-paced environments
  • proven track record of leading or coordinating finance teams
  • strong knowledge of local GAAP, with IFRS exposure considered a plus
  • hands-on responsibilities within financial controlling
  • understanding of end-to-end processes
  • confident working with integrated ERP systems as well as advanced Excel
  • sharp analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
  • thrive in international, multi-entity settings
  • familiar with dynamic, growth-oriented organizations
  • experience with M&A processes is an advantage
  • communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken
