Henry Carus + Associates is a leading Melbourne personal injury law firm with a reputation for five-star client care and a genuinely supportive team culture. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance and TPD team. In this hands-on role you’ll keep the financial engine running — managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts, and supporting our legal teams with billing and disbursement reporting.

Job Responsibility

  • Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time
  • Verify and enter Trust and Business account deposits
  • process Trust-to-Business payments
  • Prepare lump sum client bills, disbursement lists, and cost outstanding reports
  • Reconcile company bank accounts monthly and assist with GST and EOFY reporting
  • Liaise with the firm’s costing company and support cost consultants with required information
  • Maintain financial records and the Accounts Payable Manual
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required

Requirements

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • Solid Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with numbers day-to-day
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude
  • Discretion when handling confidential client and financial information

Nice to have
