This is a role where your work has a direct impact on vulnerable adults accessing care and support. You’ll ensure accurate and timely financial assessments and reassessments are completed in line with the Care Act 2014 and welfare benefits legislation, including complex cases involving Disability Related Expenditure, deprivation of capital, property matters and Deferred Payment applications. You’ll lead responses to appeals, resolve disputes and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Alongside managing a busy caseload, you’ll provide day-to-day leadership to your team, supporting development, managing performance and embedding strong customer service standards. You’ll contribute to service improvements, debt prevention activity, system changes and performance reporting, using data to strengthen efficiency and outcomes.
Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
Experience supervising staff
Experience undertaking adult social care financial assessments
Experience working with vulnerable adults, carers and advocates
Solid understanding of social care charging principles, billing processes and relevant legislation
Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills
Ability to combine accuracy with empathy
Clear commitment to safeguarding, equal opportunities, fraud prevention and data protection
Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience)
Hold a full driving licence with access to a vehicle
