Job Responsibility

  • Recording financial transactions and supporting accounting processes, in relation to the accountant and the international team
  • Ensuring the monthly banking and reconciliations
  • Uploading and verifying the weekly payments
  • Supporting the preparation of the accounting statements and account closures, financial statements and their consolidation, tax returns and reconciliations
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports for the Director, the Board and the General Meeting
  • Ensuring alignment with the French accounting regulation
  • Supporting GDPR compliance
  • Ensuring general administrative tasks and coordination with service providers
  • Ensuring payroll preparation and HR administrative tasks (contracts, leave tracking, declarations…), with the support of the payroll manager
  • Support colleagues with health and safety requirements
  • Providing advice on issues related to the French labour law
  • Maintaining personnel files and answering all HR-related requests
  • Ensuring the association's compliance with the French labour law

Requirements

  • Training or professional experience in Finance, ideally for non-profits
  • Relevant professional experience in administrative and operational management
  • Knowledge of HR and French Labour Law
  • Proficient in French in speaking, reading and writing, and an advanced level of English
  • Excellent written and oral expression, impeccable spelling
  • Strong organisational skills, rigour and multi-skilling
  • A people‑centred and supportive approach to HR practices
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS-365 cloud-based package: Word/PowerPoint/Excel
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS’ vision and mission
