Job Description:

Financial & ESG Reporting Specialist responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, preparation of Adyen’s Financial Statements and working closely with teams across the business. Part of the wider Global Reporting team, focusing on financial and sustainability (ESG) reporting for a financial technology platform.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparation of financial reports (quarterly, half and full-year financial statements) in accordance with IFRS
  • Support the annual report process and other relevant internal and external financial and non-financial reports
  • Coordinate and prepare Adyen’s monthly management reporting processes
  • Support in cross-over financial and ESG topics within the team
  • Support in translating the impact from complex transactions and new products into financial reporting
  • Work cross-functionally to assess the impact in finance (e.g. regulatory reporting
  • controlling, tax)
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations applicable to Adyen
  • Coordinate with other functions the implementation of such changes
  • Strengthen connections between the business and reporting team
  • Understand the impact of new products or areas of expansion
  • Support business growth through regulatory strategy

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years' experience in accounting/audit/financial reporting functions
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA(SA) qualification or equivalent
  • Comfortable working in unstructured environments and taking initiative
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Ability to interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-driven and proactive
  • Excellent project management skills and stakeholder engagement
  • Previous experience in the banking or financial industry and understanding of the payments industry is a strong plus
