We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial and Advisor Specialist to join our team in New Gloucester, Maine. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in guiding students through their academic journey and financial aid processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and advising, along with the ability to work collaboratively in an office setting.
Job Responsibility:
Assist students with course scheduling and provide insights into academic programs and career pathways
Respond to inquiries about financial aid options and processes to ensure students have a clear understanding
Offer personalized advising to support students in achieving their educational goals
Maintain accurate records of account setups and incoming payments to ensure smooth administrative operations
Handle phone communication with professionalism, addressing student concerns and providing prompt resolutions
Collaborate with team members to enhance the advising experience and improve operational efficiency
Monitor and oversee administrative tasks related to student financial aid processes
Deliver exceptional customer service to students and their families to create a positive advising experience
Support the team in executing day-to-day office tasks and ensuring compliance with institutional policies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
Previous experience in sales and customer service is essential
Strong communication skills, including attentive phone etiquette
Ability to work effectively in an office environment
Familiarity with financial aid processes and administrative procedures
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in handling incoming payments and account setups
