Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial and Advisor Specialist to join our team in New Gloucester, Maine. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in guiding students through their academic journey and financial aid processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and advising, along with the ability to work collaboratively in an office setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist students with course scheduling and provide insights into academic programs and career pathways
  • Respond to inquiries about financial aid options and processes to ensure students have a clear understanding
  • Offer personalized advising to support students in achieving their educational goals
  • Maintain accurate records of account setups and incoming payments to ensure smooth administrative operations
  • Handle phone communication with professionalism, addressing student concerns and providing prompt resolutions
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance the advising experience and improve operational efficiency
  • Monitor and oversee administrative tasks related to student financial aid processes
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to students and their families to create a positive advising experience
  • Support the team in executing day-to-day office tasks and ensuring compliance with institutional policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
  • Previous experience in sales and customer service is essential
  • Strong communication skills, including attentive phone etiquette
  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment
  • Familiarity with financial aid processes and administrative procedures
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
