We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This is a fully remote position the slated to last at least six months or longer. This role involves driving finance transformation initiatives due to a merger/acquisition, optimizing processes, and ensuring operational excellence across revenue and royalty functions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to scalability, efficiency, and governance improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibility:
Lead efforts to standardize and normalize cash report formats across multiple distribution partners and platforms
Document current workflows and implement streamlined processes to enhance efficiency and eliminate redundancies
Support system migration projects by conducting data mapping, testing, and reconciliation between legacy and new systems
Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures and training materials
Identify areas for improvement within cash reporting and royalty expense functions and implement solutions to increase scalability and productivity
Assist in establishing governance frameworks, including controls and approval workflows for contract entries and royalty calculations
Analyze customer revenue reports, allocate transactional data to internal systems, and resolve discrepancies in reporting
Prepare and compile transactional data for royalty statements, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and payment structures
Produce accurate royalty statements and respond to ad hoc audit requests with necessary documentation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, royalty processing, or financial analysis
Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including handling large datasets and performing complex data analysis
Familiarity with rights management systems and data integration tools, along with the ability to adapt to new technologies
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to manage competing priorities
A proactive mindset for process improvement, including documenting workflows and identifying optimization opportunities
