Job Description

Our client, a growing and innovative organization, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its collaborative Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical finance professional looking to broaden their FP&A experience while partnering with leaders across the business to support strategic decision-making. This hybrid position requires working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the Boston office.

Job Responsibility

  • Building financial models and performing scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Preparing financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis for leadership
  • Conducting variance analysis and identifying trends that drive business performance
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to evaluate business initiatives and provide financial insights
  • Supporting process improvements and helping automate financial reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of experience in a Corporate Financial Analyst or FP&A role
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, including journal entries, accruals, and revenue recognition
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups, Conditional Formatting, and Charts
  • Experience working with ERP systems

Nice to have

  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (GP), NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
  • Experience within education, publishing, or another corporate environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to business leaders
