Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Brunswick, Ohio. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work onsite and collaborate closely with a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in advanced Excel functions and a passion for streamlining financial processes and reporting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Revise and enhance existing spreadsheets to improve functionality and accuracy
  • Extract and analyze data from reports to identify trends and actionable insights
  • Simplify and optimize profit and loss (P& L) reporting for better clarity and usability
  • Automate financial reports to save time and reduce manual efforts
  • Utilize advanced Excel techniques, including complex formulas and functions, to manage and analyze data effectively
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless integration of financial tools and processes
  • Manage ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making across departments
  • Conduct variance analysis to evaluate financial performance against projections
  • Apply data mining techniques to uncover patterns and insights in financial data
  • Work with specialized financial software to support reporting and analytical needs

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including formulas such as IF statements, pivot tables, and macros
  • Solid understanding of financial modeling and the ability to build and manage complex models
  • Experience with ad hoc financial analysis and providing actionable recommendations
  • Strong knowledge of variance analysis to assess financial trends and deviations
  • Familiarity with data mining techniques to extract insights from large datasets
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to present findings and collaborate with team members
  • Previous experience working with financial software tools is preferred
