As a Financial Analyst, you will review and analyse key financial data to provide insight across the business, and in particular to support the Senior Finance Business Partner for Retail and Buying. The core focus of the role will be sales, cost of goods and stock, however, you will also provide cost reporting and analysis through our “Jigsaw” framework. Core responsibilities include weekly and monthly sales reporting, monthly cost of goods postings and analysis, global “sales & admin” cost analysis and global stock reporting and analysis.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for preparing the weekly and monthly sales league reporting, including submission timeliness and quality
Responsible for preparing and reviewing accuracy of the data for the monthly product sales report
Responsible for updating a series of KPI dashboards regularly to a high quality, ensuring accuracy and improving design and accessibility
Support the cost of goods analyst with month end processes and analysis
Produce and maintain regular and insightful reporting on stock, sharing with the relevant FBPs and the group FDs
Report on our global costs through our “jigsaw” framework, summarising movements against prior year and budget for the month and rest-of-year forecast
Produce ad hoc analysis and commentaries to support areas that do not have an FBP (e.g. other admin, hubs, charitable giving) for the FDs
Tidy up structural issues such as recharges and inconsistency of classification
Support the Retail & Buying FBP with any cost analysis and reporting required
Ad hoc analytical support for both the global commercial analyst and cost of goods analyst as required
Requirements:
Strong Excel spreadsheet skills, including complex formulas
Ideally, also experience with Google Sheets
Analytically & commercially minded
Problem-solving skills, comfortable determining their own approach to a task
Culturally, someone who is enthusiastic about Lush and our ethics
Understanding of standard costing
Ability to work across teams and develop relationships with stakeholders in other departments
Accountancy background/interest will be advantageous
