We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Monmouth County, New Jersey. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting efforts to drive informed decision-making within the organization. Job Responsibility:
Compile and distribute financial data, focusing on company volume trends, and manage Merchandising Sales and Income Tracking Reports
Conduct variance analyses on income statements at the end of each period, comparing results to budgets and prior years
Collaborate with department heads regularly to provide insights into financial metrics that influence business operations
Participate in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts to align with organizational goals
Assist in creating quarterly and annual presentations for the Board of Directors and executive reporting packages
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports to support critical business decisions, including acquisitions, financing, and divestitures
Analyze data using statistical tools, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights
Develop innovative techniques for financial planning to enhance decision-making and internal/external financial services
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in auditing and financial analysis within a multi-department general ledger environment
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
familiarity with SAP or similar systems is preferred
Strong knowledge of profit and loss statements and balance sheets
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations based on thorough data analysis
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment
Capable of multitasking and excelling under pressure in a high-volume setting
