Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in managing financial operations, analyzing data, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading organization in the mortgage industry.

Job Responsibility:

Perform detailed data analysis to oversee weekly financing loan processes, including tracking, evaluating financing options, and funding loans on eligible lines
Prepare managerial and performance indicator reports to support the decision-making needs of finance team leaders
Ensure compliance with internal control procedures by creating and maintaining thorough documentation of processes, reports, and applications
Collaborate on special projects as needed, providing financial insights and support to achieve project goals
Reconcile financing facilities and manage daily financial activities to maintain accuracy and efficiency
Participate in monthly and annual financial reporting cycles, contributing to timely and accurate submissions
Identify discrepancies in financial data, research issues, and implement effective resolutions
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to address financial inquiries and provide updates on processes.

Requirements:

Minimum of two years of experience in finance, with a background in the mortgage industry considered a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a solid understanding of other Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively
Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders
Familiarity with financial reconciliation, account analysis, and audit processes
Experience in preparing monthly and annual reports is highly desirable
Reliable attendance and ability to work in a standard office environment.
