The position requires 10-years of experience in combined industry and government acquisition/financial management experience and 4-years’ experience specifically supporting space and/or nuclear programs. Bachelor’s degree in management, business, economics, finance, accounting, mathematics, science, technology, engineering, or statistics required.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver expert budget and financial decision support to government space/nuclear defense customers such as program managers, program financial managers, and supervisory/management officials
Deliver trend analysis and program execution reporting using multiple analytics systems
Prepare accurate/complete budget/financial execution documents, developing/maintaining accurate financial records to include tailored program checkbooks, interacting with other government agencies such as Defense Finance and Accounting Service, tracking and forecasting execution, delivering a variety of budget/execution/accounting reports to include unfunded budget requests, and supporting financial audits
Perform Unliquidated Obligation (ULO) validation and close-out, contract reconciliation, and support contract close-out with contracting officers and other agencies such as Defense Contract Management Agency and Defense Contract Audit Agency
Requirements:
10-years of experience in combined industry and government acquisition/financial management experience
4-years’ experience specifically supporting space and/or nuclear programs
Bachelor’s degree in management, business, economics, finance, accounting, mathematics, science, technology, engineering, or statistics required
Proficient in the use of M/S office applications, i.e., M/S Word, PowerPoint, Excel as well as business analytic tools
Experience using CCaR to support defense acquisition programs is absolutely required
Experience with other DoW and Department of Air Force financial systems, e.g., CRIS, SDW/EDA, Advana, FM Suite, ADVANA, BQ, and MOCAS required
Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required
Able to work in a team environment
Understand US Air Force financial management processes, US Air Force accounting and payment systems to include reimbursable funds management
U.S. citizenship required
Possess a secret security clearance
Nice to have:
Experience with DEAMS desired
Applicants with Program Objective Memorandum (POM) experience desired
Master’s degree desired
Certifications such as Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Acquisition Professional in Business Financial Management, or DoD Financial Management Certificates desired
