Job Responsibility:

  • Provide Business Partner financial support to Functional Directors and Leaders including management reporting and analysis, review and assessment of headcount, overtime, operating expenses, and other finance related activities
  • Participate in and support confidential financial/analytical activities influencing operational decision making
  • Complete all monthly/quarterly financial activities and/or financial reporting for assigned functional areas, including assisting senior financial analysts as required
  • Prepare and monitor budget/forecast(s) for assigned business areas
  • Monitor actual versus budget variances on a monthly basis and analyze trends
  • Work with business to identify, track and manage risks and opportunities to committed budget/forecast
  • Support the development and implementation of enhanced tools and processes including Power BI and participate in S4 HANA transition
  • Provide internal/external audit support including ensuring ongoing compliance to internal controls as required by OSC

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or in any related field and/or enrolment/completion of professional accounting designation (CPA)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Cost Accounting or similar financial analyst experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of SAP, Powerpoint and Power BI
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to coordinate workload around multiple activities
  • Analytical and judgment skills necessary to evaluate alternatives and formulate recommendations in support of management decision-making
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other business areas
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all organizational levels
  • Process improvement mindset and competency
