We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support data-driven planning and performance analysis for a business team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position offers an opportunity to turn financial and operational information into clear recommendations that help leaders make informed decisions. The role will contribute to reporting, forecasting, and trend evaluation while working in a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week across three days.
Job Responsibility
Consolidate staffing, attendance, productivity, and capacity information from multiple inputs to create reliable datasets for analysis and planning
Refine reporting workflows by reducing manual effort and organizing data into scalable, repeatable structures
Update workforce planning models as business assumptions shift to keep forecasts aligned across reporting periods
Examine financial and operational results to identify month-to-month changes, forecast variances, and the underlying business drivers
Track key performance indicators, highlight emerging concerns early, and provide practical recommendations to address them
Develop a strong understanding of role-level and product-level factors that influence cost, output, and overall performance
Prepare financial analyses that translate complex data into actionable insights for management and leadership teams
Contribute to initiatives focused on improving efficiency, supporting growth, and strengthening overall business results
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field
At least one year of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a comparable analytical role
Advanced Excel capabilities, including the use of complex formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions, and data reconciliation techniques
Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets from multiple sources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Comfort operating in environments where processes, tools, and reporting structures continue to evolve
Ability to interpret quantitative information and clearly communicate trends, risks, and operational impacts
Strong time-management skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail, with a consistent focus on data integrity
