We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our construction team in Walnut Creek, California. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and expertise in financial modeling and variance analysis. You will play a key role in evaluating financial data, developing models, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making processes.
Job Responsibility:
Track project progress and analyze trends and bottlenecks
Provide data-driven insights to guide project management, quality, and control decisions
Lead job startup and closeout meetings per procedures
Produce weekly performance reports and support production reporting
Apply and evaluate cost control methods to monitor and manage project costs
Track actual progress to forecast realistic costs and completion schedules
Develop bid and labor rates including projections
Support budgeting process, collaborating with operations
Support the change order budget process
Provide risk assessments from project and contract review process
Requirements:
5+ years relevant experience working for a professional services firm, with a preference for a candidate who has worked for a general contractor
Degree in Construction Management or Business Administration a plus but not required
Good systems experience – scheduling/PM software, ERP accounting software, and Excel
