We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support business planning, reporting, and decision-making through detailed financial insights and data-driven recommendations. This Long-term Contract position is based in Reading, Pennsylvania, and offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams to evaluate performance, identify trends, and strengthen financial visibility. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, comfort working with large data sets, and a practical approach to modeling and variance review.
Job Responsibility
Analyze financial results and key performance indicators to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for business stakeholders
Build and maintain financial models that support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning activities
Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions, assess operational performance, and guide management decisions
Review budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual results to explain variances and recommend corrective actions where needed
Extract, organize, and interpret large data sets using data mining techniques to improve financial reporting accuracy and efficiency
Prepare clear summaries, dashboards, and presentations that communicate findings to finance leaders and cross-functional partners
Collaborate with internal teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure financial information is complete and reliable
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis or a closely related finance role
Hands-on experience with financial analysis, including performance review and business trend evaluation
Ability to create and update financial models that support planning and decision-making
Experience conducting ad hoc financial analysis in response to changing business needs
Strong understanding of variance analysis and the ability to explain differences between expected and actual results
Familiarity with data mining techniques and working with large volumes of financial or operational data
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication skills
