Job Description:

Our client located downtown (subway accessible) is looking for an Analyst, Accounts Payable (Accounting Focus) for a 6-month contract position. This role offers a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and an hourly rate of $27–$35. The position is focused on supporting high-volume transactional accounting within a dynamic finance team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare financial reports including monthly reporting to head office, actual vs. plan, variance analysis, and monthly budgeting
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required
  • Support month-end close, including preparation of journal entries
  • Complete corporate credit card reconciliations and settlement activities
  • Review and support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Record and maintain fixed asset additions in the accounting system
  • Ensure all transactions are properly supported and audit-ready
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data and reporting

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
